Live Aqua Boutique Resort Playa del Carmen
This hotel is, by far, the best hotel where I stayed since few years of travel. All peoples have the smile and are ready to help you in any case. The pool on the rooftop is just amazing and saved our trip as the sea was unfortunately bad. A very big plus is the food: - the breakfast can be a buffet or you can order anything you want in the menu (or both of course) - the lunch can be made of sushis, tapas, and/or anything you want in the more "standard" menu - the dinner is a simple restaurant menu At any time, as you are in a all inclusive hotel, you can order any drink at the pool's bar, then you can order anything through the room service (24/24). Finally, the hotel is greatly placed in Playa del Carmen as you are about 5 minutes walking from the beach and the 5th avenue street (the main street of the city, with all services, shops, restaurants and bar) is just behind the hotel. This hotel has a really good price/quality rate as it is the mix of a luxury hotel with all related services at an affordable price. We also really enjoyed the pool in the morning (around 8-9am) because nobody was there. The pool was only for us! A small bad thing is the noise of the A/C in the room. I totally recommend this hotel and would love to go back here to relaaaaaax!
"Beautiful Hotel right in the heart of 5th avenue!"
The experience from check in to check out was amazing! The staff was unbelievable to making sure all our needs were met during the day Franco, Roman and all the rooftop wait staff were the best feature of the hotel. We enjoyed that it was a smaller hotel and enjoyed the easy access to 5th avenue and the night life. The all inclusive was great as the food met expectation with the sushi being my favorite on the menu, all drinks had top shelf alcohol that we have in the US. We would stay here again just to have an enjoyable trip that allows so much access to relaxing to getting out an about!
"Great (Non-Beach) Location in Playa"
Just returned from our May 2018 stay at Live Aqua PDC. We stayed for 10 nights and had a master suite room. Several years ago we stayed at the Live Aqua in Cancun after it had converted to All Inclusive....fantastic experience. If we had not had such a great experience at the Cancun location we might not have booked the PDC location....due to it not being on the beach. We knew this would be a different trip due to the location and that intrigued us. All other vacations to the Cancun area have been to beach resorts (Secrets, Excellence, Valentin, ME, Live Aqua Cancun). Room: As noted we had a master suite. Large room with a large balcony and sectional sofa overlooking 5th Ave. Very comfortable king bed. The bathroom was also very large with dual sinks and a spacious rain shower. Staff: Can not say enough about the fantastic staff. ALL were very friendly and always trying to make your vacation better. Thanks again to Luis, Roman, Oscar, Franco, Roberto and several more that I do not remember their names...sorry! Dining:The All-Inclusive dining here is different than most of the other resorts we have stayed at. Like Live Aqua Cancun the resort was not originally designed to have 7+ restaurants of different themes. There are 3 locations to dine (Main Floor for breakfast and dinner, Roof Top for Sushi/Tapas and Main Bar). For dinner there are 3 different menus, depending on the night, to order from. We had no problem for our 11 days finding something we liked...may be a little repetitive for some for long stays. We did not realize until a few days went by that we could have dinner on the rooftop bar area. With the ocean views, nice breeze it made for a relaxing experience. Location: Short walk to the beach. Like any city center hotel there will be all the sounds that go with it. 5th Ave is a very busy street (no cars) with all the late night activities. We could hear music until 2am on most nights but it did not keep us up. A 1-2 hour walk up and back on 5th after dinner was our nightly entertainment....always entertaining. Hiccups: Always some but this is were the great staff shines. The balcony above ours flooded during a heavy rain one afternoon. It leaked into our room in a few locations. Once I notified the staff they immediately showed me three different rooms we could move too. We did not really want to move and they assured me the problem was fixed in the room above. But we did not want to go to bed if water was still leaking in our room later that night. They agreed to let us just sleep in one of the other rooms and not move if the leak continued. Turned out when we returned from out 5th Ave. walk all was dry!
The room was ok, very modern , elegant and super clean The hotel is in good condition , very pretty and clean too The roof top is super OK, nice view and very quit The staff super polite and nice The food is super OK , nice presentation and very good quality and the bar too is wonderful BUT............. When you order a food , the time to wait is ridiculous , around hour or plus, really The hotel loses the brightness due to the delay of the service at 2 restaurant
My boyfriend and I just got back from our very first getaway outside of the US together. I picked Live Aqua because of it's great location, amazing reviews and beautiful photos. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel extremely welcome. They were all beyond kind and always setting top notch standards. The photos don't even do this place justice. It is so beautiful. The stone walls, beautiful rooftop pool/bar + the lobby.. all stunning. It is Spanish with a modern twist. We spent 2 days just lounging at the pool because the view was spectacular and the staff made us feel very luxurious. Every night we would walk down on the 5th avenue and go get drinks and food. We didn't have a rental car, nor did we ever need one. It was perfect. Our room was so pretty (the deluxe king room). They had our fridge stocked with beverages and the air conditioning was soooo great ha! In the lobby there is a duck we named "Queeny". She arrived 3 weeks ago according to the staff, and hasn't left since. She became a part of the hotel LOL. I loved that the staff left her out a bowl of water and some duck food - shows just how kind-hearted they are. I highly recommend this place!
