"Awesome Stay in Cancun at Live Aqua"
We visited Live Aqua in Cancun with cousins to catch up on life. The hotel is ADULTS only, which made for a peaceful get together. The hotel is absolutely spectacular and rates a full 5 stars in my opinion. First is the people, who will go out of their way to fulfill any request that you may require. In the Live Aqua Club, which is reserved at a premium to provide guests with exceptional service, snacks, concierge, and premium drinks. Daniel and Hugo never let a drink become empty without asking if we needed a refill. At the Concierge desk, we had Jimena and Fernanda, who helped us with becoming familiar with the hotel or reservations. In addition, Valerie, who was in charge of public relations for the hotel, seemed to always be around to inquire if we were enjoying our stay and needed anything. There are 10 restaurants and 6 bars to serve the patron and are completely staffed to ensure everyone is served in a timely manner. Of course there are the serevers scattered around the myriad of pools to bring you drinks, towels, food, and other requests. It was impossible to try all 10 of the restaurants in only 4 days. However, we ate breakfast everyday in Siete, which offers a full buffet and made to order eggs and omelets. You should try the Mamay fruit as a smoothie. Mamay is native to Mexico and looks something like the color and texture of a sweet potato, but is very sweet and loaded with vitamins. We enjoyed Siete for a Mexican evening. The food in Siete can be ordered ala carte or you can choose from the buffets. We opted for the buffet and found the selection to be more variety of Mexican flavors than we could possibly consume. Siete will never disappoint. We ate in the Hidden Garden, which is Asian Fusion. I found the selection to be primarily Korean, Japanese, and Thai. I ordered mostly Thai and found the food to be mildly spicy with soft heat that was quite tolerable without reaching for a drink. Without a doubt the treasure of the restaurants was MB, where we sampled food on two nights. This is a fine dining restaurant offering fish and meat selections. My recommendation is to visit the restaurant before 7:30 PM because it fills quite quickly, and there are no reservations. Several varietals of wines are available beyond those offered as part of the inclusive offering at very reasonable prices. This is the only restaurant that we encountered, where business casual without sandals (Men) is suggested. The other restaurants that I mentioned in the preceding will accept bermudas, polo shirts, and sandals for men. The pools are outstanding. I may not have the count correctly but I believe that there are 3 circular infinity pools, swim-up bar pool, a very long pool, and a hot tub. The long poll is about 4.3 feet deep and easily accommodates a swimmer trying to swim laps for exercise. The rooms are very spacious with the bathroom offering a separate shower and bathtub. The maid service was very attentive. It seemed like every time that we left a used towel, when we returned it had been replaced with a fresh one. The big treat was the artwork that is done with colored rice. The housekeeping staff produces the art work with a piece of cardboard and their badge to smooth out the writing and drawing. On our last night we were treated to rose petals and small candles leading to the bed, where a short note of 1 Love forever with a heart was on the bed. You simply will never go wrong in this hotel if you are looking for a treat toyour 5 senses and enjoy being pampered and taken care of your creature comforts. My wife and I cannot wait until we get the opportunity to return.
This is a wonderful place. The room, the service, the people the food all first rate. Lately we've been pool people, but this time we hung on the beach under our umbrella under the palm trees. What a view, what service. Thanks to German, Amenal and Andreas for the champagne and bottled water every morning!. Our room was on the 4th floor, actually the 7th. Wonderful. Thank you Luis at the front desk, we thought we were going to be on the bottom floor but you worked some magic. Siete in the morning for breakfast, thanks to our wonderful hostess's and servers, what a great way to start the day, Sea Corner or Azur for lunch, good food, great views great service. MB at night, Karla we cannot thank you enough, you treated us like royalty. We also ate in Siete at night, once on the Mexican a la carte side and once on the buffet side, very nice. The pool area is fantastic, plenty of room, liked the way the pools are laid out. Shout out to Jonathan and the crew, also Jorge, who met us with a smile everyday and a visit and Valerie who made sure we were having a good time and found us a a place to sit at the pool the first day, even though it was pretty full. Thanks to the concierge folks who got our Ipad working and helped us track down our ride back to the airport, very friendly and professional. Enjoyed the bars in the evening, you guy's make a killer martini, Grey Goose no less!!. All in all a wonderful stay, we will definitely be returning.
"Worth The Visit"
This resort is absolutely beautiful. The customer service was top notch from the restaurants, pool service, housekeeping and front desk. It's all inclusive. The items in room are restocked daily. The only alcohol in the room fridge is beer although you can order room service for other alcoholic drinks, which are still included. There are many restaurants to choose from with no reservation needed, which I appreciated. The main restaurant for breakfast, Seven, has a fabulous buffet. It has everything and then some. They also make fresh smoothies to order. However there will always be a line for them but a wait no longer than 5 mins. The hotel is about a 7-10 mins taxi ride from the main bar/club area of Cancun so keep that in mind depending on what you are looking for. There are shuttles that will transfer you back and forth provided by the clubs.
"Just what the doctor ordered!"
We just returned from six days at LIVE AQUA. We booked our trip through Southwest vacations and it was easy and the service in all aspects (flight, round-trip hotel transportation, etc.) was seamless. We selected this hotel after combing through literally hundreds of reviews for Cancun all inclusives on Trip Advisor. The impression stated in the collective reviews for this particular hotel are a good gauge of what you get. From our perspective, the highlights of this property included: - Beach: Hands down, the best beach real estate of any hotel (including the Ritz Carlton) in Cancun. We walked up and down the beachfront to check out the other options. Live Aqua has a beautiful, wide beach property and lots of lounge equipment to choose from. On one day, we paid the $70/per day extra fee for a cabana with a 20 minute foot massage - which was a great treat! - Grounds: Gorgeous pool area – 4 or 5 pools to choose from. We hung out at the smaller pool with the swim up bar most of the time. Lovely! Grounds are immaculate and beautiful. - Staff: Wonderful, professional, friendly staff – every staff member we came in contact with was so nice and helpful and always inquired about our well being. Out at the pool, we never had to wait more than a few minutes for someone to check on us. Service was abundant and excellent. Kudos to the General Manager for enforcing such a consistently high level of service. It really contributes to a wonderful vacation experience. A special thanks and shout out to Hugo in the 5th floor club area. He was always so welcoming and we really appreciated his always friendly disposition. He also makes excellent shots and drinks! - Alcohol: I saw one or two complaints in previous reviews but our experience was that the drinks were top notch both in terms of taste and appropriate alcohol. If you upgrade to the club area, as we did, you also have access to top shelf liquor. One small point is that they do not serve Corona at this resort – which was a personal disappointment for me but certainly not a show stopper. - Rooms: When we arrived, we decided to pay for an upgrade to the 5th floor club area. Very happy with that decision. Gorgeous ocean front view and access to the club area with top shelf drinks and H’ordeaves. Very nice place to hang out and chill if you feel like getting out of the sun. The rooms themselves are lovely – plenty big for two people with all the nice amenities and toiletries that you would expect from a good hotel. Let me emphasize that there was nothing negative about this hotel at all. With that said, here’s what I wish was better: - Food – multiple restaurants on the premises. IMO, food was average at best in most of them. I would liken the overall quality to Denny’s or Carnival cruise quality of food – eatable but not great. In the spirit of transparency, I am definitely not a snob gourmand, but I am a bit pickier about what I eat than my husband. He found more items to enjoy than I did but neither of us were enthusiastic about the food. It’s not a foodie destination by any means but I would assume that’s the same as most all inclusives. - Concierge experience – In previous reviews, several people complained about the “concierge” trying to sell you on the Live Aqua vacation club when you arrive. Here’s how it works: After registering at the front desk, you are immediately directed to a concierge (read: sales person). They tell you they want to orient you to the property and they do – they’ll tell you about the restaurants and give you a map of the property. It’s actually quite helpful. They will also give you a soft sales pitch trying to entice you with a freebie such as a free massage or tour or cabana for a day, etc. It’s pretty obvious that acceptance of any free gift will need to be repaid by sitting through a sales pitch for their vacation club. We appreciated the map and property overview and then mentioned that we had a long trip and wanted to get to our room to refresh. Our concierge was gracious about it and walked us to the elevator. For us, it was no big deal and we didn’t feel pressured. Even with our disappointment in the food, we would return to this hotel. We got what we came for – short break from our hectic life to renew and rejuvenate. Overall, a wonderful and recommended experience!
really nice room excellent service! we stay there with all my family and some friends and the service was fantastic the food was good and the rooms very super clean, the restaurants had no waitingI just love it.
