"Dark hotel with uncaring staff"
I was very unimpressed with my stay at this hotel. First off, the lobby is obnoxiously over-designed, and the water feature is super dangerous. Yes, I'm the one who made a "splash" at a wedding I traveled 4000km to a part of. The lobby was crowded, and I took a step forward (near the elevators) to give family a hug, and fell right into the water. My leg and arm took quite a beating on the jagged rocks, and I count myself lucky that I avoided hitting my head. The staff did nothing to help, nor did they ask me how I was. They stood around and stared awkwardly, then backed away. They said they would address it but they did nothing. Reading the reviews, that seems like a common theme. "Yes yes, we'll definitely look into that." Everything was extra $$$ in the bedrooms, including coffee, tea, and WATER, ffs. Even 3* hotels don't charge for those things. The bedrooms were super dark even with everything on, and the lighting system was very confusing. At the wedding (the ceremony of which I missed because of the whole unmarked random water thing), people were lighting up cigarettes left right and centre. I repeatedly asked the staff to inform the guests that it was illegal, and they kept telling me they would, and then they'd just walk away. (I'm fluent in Spanish, I know what you're saying.) By halfway through the reception, the hall was hazy with smoke, and I had to leave as I was getting a migraine. Bummed that again, I missed out on wedding fun, all because the staff didn't have the huevos to enforce THE LAW. The breakfast was outlandishly expensive, and we had to ask the staff for things like coffee repeatedly, as they weren't paying any attention. On the positive, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was big. ... Yeah... That doesn't make it a 5* Hotel. At all. Trust me, go elsewhere. Sincerely, Bruised and Battered PS, save me the eye-rolling and don't just tell me you're looking into it and will address the situation.
"Perfect Stay for Business Trip, great Rooms!"
This Hotel is situated in one of the most high end business buildings in Mexico City. The building is near Santa Fe’s Business Area. The Hotel has access to a Mall Center with great restaurants, coffees, stores and event nice Bars with Terraces. It is perfect for a business trip. The rooms are just amazing. Great beds and quite big.
"Beautiful hotel magnificent bathrooms"
We came for a wedding that was happening in the hotel. The whole design of the hotel is beautiful the beds are very comfortable and they have a beautiful collection of pillows to chose. The rooms are big enough to skate in them and you have three TV! Very very nice and everybody in the hotel was wonderful. One terrible problem they have is that they have unmarked steps, and water installations throughout the lobby that are unmarked and lack any safety barrier. One member in our group did not notice the fountain and she fell in and hurt herself. The other thing I have to say is that for a hotel that charges $1000.00 per night they are very cheap. They charge extra for anything. Coffee in your room, you have to pay and it is terrible,no milk, no Splenda, only nespresso machines. Also you have to pay extra if you want to use the jacuzzi. And last but not least, although it is forbidden to smoke inside by law, I had to leave the event because everybody was smoking (laws in Mexico are only suggestions). Lots of people with asthma, and other respiratory issues just had to leave the place. Though the staff was generally incredible, their failure to enforce anti-smoking regulations, even once complaints were made was disappointing.
"Fantastic Hotel in Mexico City"
I stayed 5 nights in this beautiful boutique hotel. Super modern & clean. Rooms are spectacular with a large bathroom. The Live Aqua Forests Hotel is very nice and is part of a complex where you can walk from the hotel to the adjacent mall and to some excellent restaurants from Sushi, to Argentinian without ever to step outside. Great hotel!
Really nice staff. Spacious rooms and comfortable atmosphere. Spent a couple of nights at the bar with live music and had a good time with business partners. The service was impecable and authentic. As was the delicious food thanks to the dedication of the kitchen chief Francesco. I didn't even feel like going to dinner anywhere else but prefered to stay in the hotel.
